Volunteers serve as part of a collaborative community outreach effort between Grace United Methodist Church, StreetLevel, and Cape Warming Center to provide community meals and compassionate hospitality for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming, compassionate environment during our community lunch gatherings. Responsibilities include offering hospitality and meaningful conversation, sharing a meal with guests, and helping each person feel seen, valued, and loved. Volunteers may engage guests through games, fellowship, and friendly interaction while providing a safe and comfortable place to spend time out of the summer heat. Additional duties include distributing hygiene items and basic necessities, assisting with meal service, helping maintain a clean and organized space throughout the event, and participating in setup and cleanup activities before and after lunch.
