Community Research Report

Every three years, United Way of Southeast Missouri conducts community research. This occurs prior to our three-year funding cycle to guide the volunteers who determine the programs and partners that will receive United Way funding.

This year we hosted an online survey and held six Community Conversations throughout the counties we serve. These were held in Perryville, Scott City, Marble Hill, Jackson, and two in Cape Girardeau, which included one in South Cape.

As anticipated, the needs we and our network partners address every day have not changed much in the last three years. But we did gain insight into what our community prioritizes.

We also learned that as much as we try to tell our story, there is still a lot that people want to know about United Way of Southeast Missouri. We are addressing these questions in our social media and advertising, in our newsletter, and every time we speak to workplaces and civic groups. If you haven’t invited us to speak to yours, please do!

The PDF below includes the full information from our survey with pie charts and graphs. We would love to discuss it with your group! Many thanks to everyone who provided feedback. We look forward to using it to strengthen every community we serve.
