United Way of Southeast Missouri believes a healthy region is a strong region, and our health greatly affects our ability to thrive at home, school and work.
We connect our most vulnerable neighbors with the resources they need to lead healthier lives. We work with programs to invest in both immediate needs and educational programs to eliminate the need in the first place.
Imagine you are young and have no idea what a real relationship looks like until you go through the Safe Dates programs the Safe House provides. Imagine you realize you have been being abused in your own home for years and didn’t know it.
Imagine you are a woman running from an abuser who has taken everything from you, including glasses you need to see properly. Or perhaps you have a need for stitches or dentures that you cannot afford.
Imagine you are an elderly person who has relied on a significant other for years to manage your personal paperwork. Now that person has passed and left you alone with medical bills, legal papers, and accounts that you aren’t sure how to access.
With your support, we work to improve the health and quality of life for children through senior citizens.
