Speak Up for a Child – Voices for Children/CASA

Speak Up for a Child
Voices for Children/CASA volunteers speak for children who are in the court system. Their role is vital to the future of foster children in our community. They investigate cases, facilitate the delivery of services to the child and family, advocate on behalf of the child to the Court, and monitor the progression of the case until it is resolved. Our volunteers work with a team of professionals to expedite a safe, permanent placement for each child, and to ensure that the system fulfills its responsibilities to each child.
With the assistance of a trained CASA volunteer, each child spends an average of a year less in the system. Our program provides trained community volunteers who are willing to invest time to make a difference in a child’s life.
To learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer, visit www.voicesforchildrensemo.org or call 573-335-1726.

Be a BIG–Brother, Sister, Couple or Family

Be a BIG–Brother, Sister, Couple or Family
Young people learn they’re capable of amazing things through relationships.
Mentoring is a fancy way of saying you’ll commit to sharing a bit of your experience, even just daily experiences and interests like movies, playing outside, technology and cooking.
Bigs show up for Littles as role models, offering support, guidance, and encouragement so that Littles see more of what’s out there as possible.
We match youth and adults based on interests, personalities, and other relationship factors.
Once matched, our team helps along the way. As a Big and Little cultivate a trusting and enduring relationship, we’ll bring outside resources and supports to you, your Little, and your Little’s family. And we’ll celebrate you throughout the journey.
Learn more about becoming a Big by contacting Ericka Sanders at esanders@bbbsemo.org or 314-615-1041.
